I bought my home last June 2011 from Chris McKenty. I started with another realtor at another agency who made me very uncomfortable, he was pushy, inappropriate, and extremely unprofessional. He only showed me a few homes and when I found one I liked he kept pushing me to settle quickly. I did not feel he had my best interest in mind. I decided to back out of working with him because of the reasons listed above and others. I contacted Chris McKenty and asked if he would work with me. From the first meeting with Chris I was already very impressed. Chris was at the home early and had already looked at it before I showed up. He also had a list of other homes in the area selling for around the same price so I could compare and contrast what I was getting or not getting for my money. The first day I met with Chris I put a bid in on a home. Chris worked diligently and kept me updated throughout the whole process. Since this would be my first home purchase, Chris patiently explained the whole process to me, he took the time to look over what I could afford and spoke with me about buying a home that was too close to my budget. Although I did not buy the first home I put a bid on, I did buy a home from Chris that I absolutely love, feel comfortable and safe in, and have no regrets. Throughout the home buying experience, Chris would need to refer me to another person (home inspector, mortgage broker, insurance agent). If the person did not respond in a timely manner Chris immediately made another referral. Every professional I worked with that Chris referred was respectful, professional, patient, knew their job and how to explain and walk me through each process, did not use professional jargon I could not understand, and above all had my best interest and needs in mind. I felt comfortable throughout the whole process. Chris and all the professional staff I worked with during my first home buying experience made me feel comfortable and I was not stressed (hard to believe I know) but due to the professionalism, knowledgeable, and efficient staff I was working with, my home buying experience was smooth and flawless. Chris was available to speak with me whenever I called, texted, or e-mailed him. He kept me informed throughout the whole process of making a bid, bidding back and forth, acceptance of my bid, home inspection, final walk through, and settlement. I will definitely use Chris in the future and highly recommend him. I trust him and trust and truly feel he considers my best interests presently and for the future. I was and am very happy with my home and the home buying experience.
